Wiradyuri leaders welcome the community and guests to Wahluu.
Wahluu is a site of deep spiritual significance to the local Wiradyuri people. At the ceremony on Friday we will see a challenge and response, as well as important sweeping and cleansing dances.
On Saturday Coleen Jerrard will perform the Dyagula story and the community are invited to participate in workshops on Saturday to learn the dances and join in.
At the Festival we will celebrate the importance of women to Indigenous culture. Because of her, we can!
Dyagula dance workshops will take place on Saturday 1 December at 2pm & 4pm in Workshop Sand Circle.
