Kids space

Kids Space

This year’s Kids’ Space will host a variety of workshops, available to all ages young and old. With a focus on supporting local artists and finding fun sustainable activities the space will be alcohol free and a place to relax (but we don’t take responsibility for children left in the space).

Open until 7:00pm on both days we will provide not only fun, but also shade, fruit and water for littlies. On top of the programmed activities and music the space will be filled with fun games for free play.

Bernardi’s Farmers Market will be generously supplying the water and fruit to munch on and keep energy levels up!

Friday

4:45pm- Festival gates and Kids’ Space open

5:00pm- Junkyard Circus Show

Junkyard Circus are an ensemble of emerging Bathurst circus artists who love to play.

Founded on the principles of inclusion and collaboration, their performances are accessible and playful with a stripped back human element.

They’ve become a fixture at the festival to the delight of young and old. Expect juggling, hoop diving acrobatics and more.

5:30pm- Junkyard Circus Playtime & LEAP performers

If you’ve ever watched a circus performance with kids, you’ll know the first thing they want to do is juggle, hula hoop or swing from a trapeze like the performers. Here they can play out their dreams of being an acrobat or tightrope walker (all under supervision of course!).

Kids of all ages can enjoy playtime with the performers, with circus gear appropriate for different ages provided.

The tunes will be provided by local emerging musicians, who’ll be playing on the Kids’ Space stage.
