Kids Space

Kids Space

Our popular Kids Space will return in 2020. With a focus on supporting local artists and finding fun sustainable activities for all ages the space will be alcohol free and a place to relax (but we don’t take responsibility for children left in the space).

Open until 7:30pm on both days we will provide not only fun, but also shade, fruit and water for littlies. In addition to the programmed activities and music the space will be filled with fun games for free play.

As a special highlight for families this year we will have Lah Lah’s Big Live Band playing on the main stage early on Saturday, with ticket packages available for early entry as a family. The Australian Kite Flyer’s Association will also be on site, with demonstrations and lessons available. Join us in the Story Tent too for an additional speakers program for all ages. Hear from the Bathurst Poets on Friday night and on Saturday catch Wiraduri Storytime, "How I Got Here" with Jock Cheetham from Bathurst Multicultrual Storytelling Festival and then join our Inland Yarning Circle.

Come to the Kids Space to make your own kite bunting to fly on a string; the sky’s the limit for your own artistic and musical expression on upcycled papers. Let Fiona help you drum up a stringed masterpiece to take home.

  • The Kid’s Space will have ongoing activities available during daylight hours. A fun and funky place to chill out or run amok. Fruit and water available as well as shade and festival volunteers on hand.
  • We love getting young local acts in on the action at Inland Sea of Sound. The Kids Space will host a variety of LEAP (Local Emerging Artists Program) acts, giving them the opportunity to practice performing and giving us the chance to hear them first!
  • On the program as well will be a variety of workshops and programmed activities for all ages. Last year we had yoga for kids, craft, circus, bubble blowing fun and more. The fun never stops in the Kids Space, drop in whenever! Stay tuned for a detailed program as we draw closer.
